Adopt a Tortoiseshell / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

REESE, a Southern gal from New Orleans, is a beautiful, well-mannered and very friendly multicolored tortoiseshell kitty, born 10/29/10, now around 7 - 8 years old.  She'd been living in a home with other cats & dogs; and enjoyed cuddling & sleeping in the bed with her previous people.  There's a lotta kitty to love, as it looks like she didn't miss too many meals!  She's a bit bewildered as to what has happened to her & wonders where everything familiar has gone.  .  . 

She's very affectionate & loving; wants to RUBBBBBBBB all over your hand or chin, or just about anything she can reach!

Does she have a southern accent???  Back in 2011, when she was a youngster, this cat was part of an ambitious transport (of 100 animals) gathered from shelters & rescues in New Orleans & brought to the midwest in hopes of finding new homes.  Purrfect Friends took in 14 of those New Orleans cats.  Reese was adopted out quickly; but in December of 2017, she's lost her home due to health issues & divorce.  She'd love a new home with someone who speaks with a bit of a southern drawl too; but would be quite willing to consider you, no matter what kind of accent you've got!

Her heart-warming background story:  A New Orleans shelter, PAWS, took part in a huge transport where 100 other cats and dogs were relocated from New Orleans. With the help of a grant from Petfinder.com and some very dedicated volunteers, a bus was retro-fitted for cages and sent to New Orleans to aid some very crowded animal shelters and rescue groups.  Over 100 animals were settled in cages and traveled to the Midwestern states with the hopes of finding forever homes.  Purrfect Friends took in 14 of the cats .  Reese, @ only a few months old, was part of this group.
